Continest at Taste of Transylvania 2023: A recipe for success!
Nestled in a picturesque valley of the East Carpathian Mountains, surrounded by tall pine tree covered hills, lies the quiet village of Borospataka, where gastronomy enthusiasts reunited for the second annual Taste of Transylvania in September. Continest was also there, with family, friends, and its unique foldable container solutions.
The Taste of Transylvania food festival was created to bring together top chefs, restauranteurs, and local producers from Romania, Hungary, and the Transylvanian region in particular. Food, especially the sharing of food, is a cultural trait shared by the people throughout the ethnic region, not limited by borders. The festival aims to give an opportunity for visitors to rediscover culinary traditions, skills, and a disappearing heritage.
Continest provided several foldable container units as infrastructure for the event. Chefs were able to create culinary art and guests were able to enjoy gastronomic wonders. Europe’s first ever 100-handed simultaneous cooking event was also made possible thanks to Continest’s safe and efficient mobile and modular units that were constructed to accommodate the special undertaking. Event organizers paid special attention to plan a low-waste festival and knew that Continest units were a key component to their success. Instead of transporting containers on separate trucks, Continest delivered all the desired container units on one truck, which decreased costs, emissions, and waste.
